I love capturing the world through the lens of my camera or with the stroke of my (metaphorical) pen. Over the past decade, I’ve been helping hotels & hideaways and travel & lifestyle brands to tell their stories through both images and words, positioning myself as a storyteller for slow-paced, design-led brands.
I’ve been scribbling words since I was a child, blogging since 2008, and writing professionally since I secured my first job working on website content in 2010. I’ve been freelance for over a decade now, writing editorial content for travel websites such as Small Luxury Hotels and Hotel Weekend, ghost-writing a coffee table book, scribing articles for the likes of Country Life and Blumenhaus, alongside writing blog posts on behalf of brands including Rebecca Udall and Frances Loom. I recently launched a Substack newsletter entitled Postcards from Wherever.
My foray into photography happened by happy accident. I’ve always loved taking photographs, and clearly remember being gifted my first point-and-shoot camera aged eleven. I picked up my first DSRL in 2013 and quickly became hooked, teaching myself via Youtube videos and experimentation. My camera hasn’t left my side since. I’ve now been shooting professionally for five years, predominantly for hotels and hideaways such as Glebe House, Fowlescombe Farm and Prussia Cove, but also for travel corporations including Road Surfer, Inntravel and Small Luxury Hotels. Alongside my travel work, I also capture lifestyle product imagery, gardens and nature, and the occasional creative portrait, and have had my photography featured in the likes of Blumenhaus, Red magazine and Country Life.
